Naga Rum Pearl of Jakarta Triple Cask Aged
NAGA Pearl of Jakarta is a blend of two distillations: the first is a 65% alcohol obtained by distillation in traditional Chinese stills. The other, with 92% ABV, is obtained by distillation in a column still.
Distillation Process:
- Fermentation of molasses and fermented red rice in teak barrels up to 12% ABV.
- 52% of this wine is distilled in traditional Chinese stills until it reaches 30% ABV. It is then distilled a second time in the same stills, until it reaches 60-65%.
- 48% of the wine is distilled in a distillation column, to reach 92%.
The rum obtained in this way is then aged for 3 years in teak barrels and then transferred to American oak barrels (former bourbon barrels) for 4 years. The rum then matures for a final year in cherry wood barrels.
