This Velier Magnum Series Saint James 2010 12 Years comes from the Distillerie Saint-James on the island of Martinique. This rum is a blend of Rhum Agricole from two vintages: 2003 and 2010, distilled using a Creole still.
The nose reveals sugar, honey, chocolate, and vegetal aromas. This combination is unmistakable for this type of rum.
The palate is full of medicinal notes and tropical spices. Cocoa and ginger also make their appearance.
The finish transitions from sugar cane to more nutty notes. A hint of spice lingers in the empty glass.
