HSE Chantilly Forest

This Habitation Saint-Etienne Rhum Agricole Extra Vieux Forêt de Chantilly is part of a limited edition in the Expert Cask series.
 These Rums have all been matured in very specific types of oak from forests in France.
 Forêt de Chantilly is part of the larger Forêt d'Ile de France and the oak of that forest is characterised by its minerality and limestone which comes from the typical subsoil of the region.
 The Rum has been matured for a long time and is characterized by a deep dark color. The bottling was done at cask strength without chill filtering.
 Aroma: The intense and captivating nose opens with an aroma of candied fruit, alcoholic plums and stewed apricot. Then, gradually, notes emerge with aromas of freshly roasted cocoa, blond tobacco and sandalwood, enhanced by a light smokiness.
