This Barbancourt Rhum 15 Years Volcanic Cane Limited Edition is a rum that combines two very extreme flavors: the taste of sugarcane grown on volcanic soil and the peat typical of Islay whiskies.
This 15-year-old rum was initially matured for a long time in ex-Cognac casks, followed by a second, shorter maturation in ex-Bourbon casks. To complete the experience, it was then finished in ex-Islay, peated casks. The interplay of these highly complex flavors and aromas of fruit, smoke, and spice is a true delight.
