La Maison du Rhum Îles Vierges 2012 American Oak #6
La Maison du Rhum Îles Vierges is a rum distilled in 2012 and then fully matured in American oak barrels until it was bottled in 2023.
For the first time, La Maison du Rhum takes you to the Virgin Islands for a vintage. The intense nose opens with cooked fruit, supported by woody notes. Subsequently, some esters are released from the glass. On the palate you get flavors of cooked fruit and licorice that mingle with the scent of blond tobacco and cigar boxes. A light smoke and some spicy notes linger in the aftertaste.
Nose: intense, cooked fruit, solvent, overripe banana, woody.
Mouth: spacious, cigar box, blonde tobacco, cooked fruit, licorice.
