Warehouse #1 Overproof Rum: John Crow Edition WRHS#1
Warehouse #1 Overproof Rum: John Crow Edition is a Rum based on a unique Rum legend...
Few can beat the story of John Crow. This crazy story begins with a crime: a theft committed at Hampden Estate. At the time, Jamaican Rum was stolen here by members of a criminal gang from Trelawny, one of the most nefarious neighbors of the Hampden Estate distillery.
The Rum was called John Crow, because someone had to have a stomach as strong as a vulture, who in Jamaica are called "John Crow", to be able to drink it. And from this stolen fiery water comes Jamaican overproof Rum. It was not only used for drinking, but also for baptisms, to drive away evil spirits, as a medicine, at weddings, etc. White Rum has thus become a spiritual panacea.
In the tradition of John Crow Rum, this is the DOK brand, or Dermot Owen Kelly, a Hampden Estate Rum brand with the highest ester content, fluctuating around 1600 g/bl.
