This Hampden LROK Single Cask Sherry Cask 2021, Bottled for The Nectar, is a special limited edition of short-matured rum from Hampden Estate. It is branded under the LROK brand, Light Rum Owen Kelly, placing it among the lower high-ester rums in the Hampden range and has been tropically matured for four years in ex-Sherry Bodegas Fundador casks.
Nose: Elegant and expressive, with aromas of roasted nuts, balsamic resin, and candied orange peel. Upon aeration, apricot and beeswax emerge.
Palate: Rich and structured, with chestnut, cocoa, and truffle notes, complemented by a slightly bitter vegetal note.
Finish: Long and velvety, where chocolate, ginger, and dried fruit blend with a subtle smoky note.
