La Maison du Rhum Colombie 2011 Ex-Bourbon Finish / Ex-fût Liqueur de Café #6

With this new limited edition, La Maison du Rhum emphasizes all the know-how of Hacienda Coloma. Distilled in 2011, this old Colombian Rum was matured in an ex-Bourbon cask before being refined in an ex-coffee liqueur cask. This finish is truly the typical signature of Hacienda Coloma. The nose reveals notes of green coffee roasted by aeration. Vanilla, caramel and spices then emerge from the glass. In the mouth the attack is smooth, characterized by caramel and dried vanilla that develop into more roasted flavors. In the aftertaste, the sweet spices and a molten wood touch are fully expressed.
