Rum Nation Guatemala Gran Reserva
Rum Nation Guatemala Gran Reserva is a premium molasses rum, fermented and distilled in a column still at Destiladora del Alcoholes y Rones, S.A. Tululà. After distillation, the rum is transported in ex-bourbon white oak barrels to northeastern Guatemala, where it ages for at least four years at 185 meters above sea level in the Hondo River region. This choice of location, with its high humidity, allows for very rapid and intense aging, as Río Hondo is one of the warmest regions of Guatemala, with a near-tropical climate. The result is one of the lightest rums in the Rum Nation collection, in a full-bodied Spanish style with its characteristic sweetness and fragrant notes of vanilla and raisin, yet with a medium body and moderate sugar content.
